A Clean Energy Source: New Power Units from Alkaline Fuel Cell Power

Alkaline Fuel Cell Power is a company that is focused on the research and development of new power units using a clean energy source. The company is also set to produce them and commercialize them. The new power units are expected to be compact yet will have high efficiency. As Alkaline Fuel Cell Power is applying for patents in the coming months, some of the new power units are expected to be produced and tested in 2022. The target date for its commercialization is the end of 2024.

To solve the growing problem of increased CO2 emissions and other harmful pollutants into the atmosphere, a lot of people are now looking for clean energy sources. There is a growing demand for clean, green, and renewable energy sources. Alkaline Fuel Cell Power aims to address the demand and fill in the gap through the new technology they are developing called a micro-CHP (micro-combined heat and power) system. The micro-CHP system is based on alkaline fuel cell technology and is for the residential, industrial, and commercial markets. The fuel cell technology is based on hydrogen, thus, the only byproduct is water; there will be no carbon dioxide emissions using this technology.

About the company

Alkaline Fuel Cell Power is spearheaded by Mr. Jef Spaepen, the Founder and CEO. The research began in the 1970s at the Nuclear Research Institute in Belgium. Mr. Jef Spaepen took over the assets of the research in 2004 and continued its development and commercialization. Now, their aim is to complete the first electrode and stack production for the prototype system in March 2022.
